How to determine if the battery needs to be replaced?

Shell damage/deformation bulging
If the shell of a lead-acid battery has cracks, electrolyte leakage, or bulging, it indicates that the internal plates are deformed and the gas cannot be discharged normally, and must be replaced.
The bulging outer shell of a lithium battery indicates irreversible expansion of the internal battery cells, posing a risk of short circuit and fire. Continued use is strictly prohibited.
Severe corrosion of the pole
Large areas of green or white rust appear on the pole, and severe corrosion occurs again shortly after cleaning, indicating that the battery seal has failed and the internal electrolyte has leaked. It is recommended to replace it.
Odor or overheating
When charging or discharging, if the battery emits a pungent sour smell (lead-acid battery) or burnt smell, accompanied by abnormal heating, it indicates an internal malfunction and needs to be stopped and replaced immediately.
